The summit of Red Mountain can be spotted from Prong Lake, and camping at Coconino County Government is always a great experience. During your tour to Prong Lake you'll meet some people from Flagstaff for sure; going for a hike on the Kendrick Peak Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Prong Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Arizona Snow Bowl Campground is a wonderful local campground;       you can never get enough of the great skiing at Arizona Snowbowl. Around Prong Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is June. High temperatures at Prong Lake all through the warm months are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures                  at Prong Lake drop into the 20's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
