     Looking for a fine spree? Grand Canyon National Park is quite near Potholes, and Corbett Dam Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. If you came to camp Grand Canyon Camper Village is a wonderful place to do that, and going for a hike along the Grandview Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, and the great folks of Flagstaff like to hang out nearby. Life's  
   too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Potholes. After a long day outdoors Canyon Plaza Resort is a good site to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Potholes that you need to camp here for a while, Ten X Campground is a good place for that.
All through the long summer days here at Potholes, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in
 
               the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Potholes. If the weather is great here at Potholes, you can go for a hike along the Hance Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Potholes, you could also stop by close by Huff Reservoir, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Clear Creek Trail.
Potholes is a location that is rather waterless typically; January is the month that gets the most snow; June is when it's the driest.

(...) Hermit trail is in the Grand Canyon! And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise!  More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat.  Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail.  Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat.  You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free.  If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)...
