Canyon Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby; the Horton Creek Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the vicinity of Palomino Lake. Rimtop Travel Trailer       Park is a nice local campground, and getting to Woods Canyon Creek from Palomino Lake is painless. Summertime at Palomino Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Palomino Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. There are other places                  here than Palomino Lake, for example Deer Lake; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Mogollon Rim Mountains. A great place close to Palomino Lake is Middle Fork Palamino Canyon, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the West Holcomb Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
