This lake is so wonderful. Patrick Pond is a fine lake right next door to Nelson Lake, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Rimtop Travel Trailer Park; after a long day       outdoors Kohls Ranch Lodge is a fine site to spend a night or two. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll like Nelson Lake. If you yearn for a little side tour, try Big Canyon; hiking along the Foot Canyon Trail is wonderful fun. Visit Canyon Creek if you're here at Nelson Lake; get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Chevelon Creek. And that's not everything you can do here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A beautiful lake like Aspen                  Lake next to Nelson Lake is a delightful place to stop by, and do take a hike on the West Holcomb Trail. Here at Nelson Lake you can make out Brookbank Point; Best Western Sawmill Inn is a fine spot to get some rest. Just can't get enough of the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A great site to camp here at Nelson Lake is Gentry Campground, and Mule Spring is a good local attraction. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Nelson Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
