A splendid spot to camp here at Munro Reservoir is C Bar Diamond RV Park, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Tonto Creek offers some delightful whitewater; since you're here and you like golf, you can go to Payson       Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Spring is always fun to check out, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Old Mail Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Munro Reservoir. That right there is heaps of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Mogollon Rim Mountains has it all. A lovely lake like Dude Lake in close proximity to Munro Reservoir is a great site to explore, and the                  Hells Gate Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Through the summertime at Munro Reservoir highs are usually in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Munro Reservoir temperatures fall to the 20's. There are some delightful whitewater spots on East Verde River, and obviously, all our national parks are great places to stop by and Tonto National Monument is no exception. Be careful coming to the Mogollon Rim Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again.
