A visit to Mormon Lake is always a good idea. Going for a hike on the Apache Maid Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and camping is available at Dairy Springs Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is a national park worth a visit; some out of the ordinary geology is available here, Bass Point is right here. Near Mormon Lake you find the Walnut Canyon Loop Trail which is a nice hiking trail, naturally

If you came for an overnight stay Mormon Lake Trailer Park is a wonderful spot to camp, and Fairfield Flagstaff Resort is a pleasant site to get some rest. out ordinarily; July is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Mormon Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down
into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Mormon Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Go for a hike on the Wilson Mountain Trail; Mormon Lake Valley is another brilliant
spot to go to nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Arizona Snowbowl; dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn By Marriott Flagstaff.
