The San Francisco Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Milligan Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Milligan Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. It is very waterless here at Milligan Lake frequently; the month with most of the       rain is August while May is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Near Milligan Lake you stumble on Box Canyon which is a magnificent spot to have a look at, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Blue River. Having a splendid time in the San Francisco Mountains is uncomplicated. Campbell Blue Creek is a fine location to go to; a short visit to Twin Tubs Spring is always worthwhile. And that's not all you can                  do here at Milligan Lake. A beautiful lake like Prime Lake near Milligan Lake is a perfect spot to visit, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Sycamore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Milligan Lake you can take a hike along the Escudilla National Recreation Trail, and if you came to camp Blue Crossing Campground is a perfect place to do that. Going for a hike along the Foote Creek Seventy-six Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and sites like Bobcat Flat are wonderful to explore. There's so much to do here at Milligan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Blue Campground is a great place for that; at Milligan Lake you can make out Milligan Peak. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the San Francisco Mountains.
