Maverick Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. You can run the rapids of Black River - & East Fork right next door to Maverick Lake, and there are other spots here than Maverick       Lake, for example Pacheta Lake. Sunrise Park is a very popular ski area close at hand; close by you stumble on the Sheep Crossing_Baldy Ninetyfour Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. During the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Maverick Lake, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Maverick Lake descend                  into the 20's. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pacheta Lake Campground, and the peak of Maverick Mountain can be spotted from Maverick Lake.
