The vista of Rattlesnake Mesa from Lost Lake is stunning, and the slopes of Arizona Snowbowl are so inviting noone can resist. High temperatures at Lost Lake through the summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Lost Lake tend to be in the 20's. | | place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Lost Lake is Oak Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Loy Butte Five. Lost Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June. delightful hiking along the Dorsey Spring Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Side Rock Campground is a great place to camp nearby; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost
Lake; Winter Cabin Trail is a good local trail. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Verde River, and lakes are such calm places, why not go to Horse Trap Sink. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Junipine Resort is a good site to spend a night or two.
