If you are in Gila county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Takalai. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. This lake is so wonderful. Standing Rock Catchment Basin is a pleasant lake next to Lake Takalai; Black Mesa Canyon is also a brilliant location to discover. Not much precipitation falls here at Lake Takalai; August is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.

Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Apache Gold Hotel; Lake Takalai is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Jones Water Campground is a tremendous local campground. Summertime highs at Lake Takalai frequently tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. If you need a place to stay Travelodge Motel - Globe is a fine choice, and there are other places here than Lake Takalai, for example San Carlos Reservoir.
