For the period of the summer at Jacob Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Jacob Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Going for a hike along the Horton Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; after a long day outdoors Kohls Ranch       Lodge is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. So much cool stuff to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains, not enough time. Rimtop Travel Trailer Park is a tremendous local campground, and Jacob Lake is not the only place close by, Horse Trap Lake is a close by lake. Canyon Creek Campground is a great campground nearby; a lake close by is Hidden Lake. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Jacob Lake. A great nearby hotel is Best Western                  Sawmill Inn; hiking along the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail is perfect fun. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chevelon Creek, and Jacob Lake is right by the West Holcomb Trail. Jacob Lake is located in the Mogollon Rim Mountains.
