the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while JD Dam Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at
White Horse Lake in the vicinity of JD Dam Lake, and Ruin Mountain can be seen from JD Dam Lake. There's great hiking along the Sycamore Basin Trail, and hey, JD Dam Wash is a good local stream. Don't leave JD Dam Lake without
first going for a hike along the Little Lookout Trail, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Mountain Ranch & Resort is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. The Winter Cabin Trail offers hiking at its best, and Lee Canyon is another great site to take a look at nearby.
