    Why not stop by JD Dam Lake if you're passing through these parts. Verde River is a magnificent whitewater spot near JD Dam Lake. There's so much to do here at JD Dam Lake that you need to camp here for a while, White Horse Lake Campground is a magnificent place for that. At JD Dam Lake you don’t see much precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is June. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all  
   the entertaining stuff at JD Dam Lake. Head up to Williams and strap some skis to your feet; JD Dam Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Dogtown Campground is a good local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Williams Super 8 Motel is a great choice, and there are other sites here than JD Dam Lake, for example Pocket Lake. For the duration of the summertime here at JD Dam Lake, high temperatures commonly reach
 
               the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while JD Dam Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at White Horse Lake in the vicinity of JD Dam Lake, and Ruin Mountain can be seen from JD Dam Lake.
There's great hiking along the Sycamore Basin Trail, and hey, JD Dam Wash is a good local stream. Don't leave JD Dam Lake without first going for a hike along the Little Lookout Trail, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Mountain Ranch & Resort is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. The Winter Cabin Trail offers hiking at its best, and Lee Canyon is another great site to take a look at nearby.
