If you are traveling by, why not stop by Irene Well. Be careful coming to Irene Well, you might not ever want to go back home again. Loma Linda Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Canada del Oro Four is always a perfect adventure. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Irene Well with night lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Irene Well. Lakes are

| | such peaceful places, why not pop by Lago del Oro in the vicinity of Irene Well; Peppersauce Campground is a fine local campground.
Go for a hike on the Cargodera Canyon Six Trail, and Best Western Catalina Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. On a pretty day you obtain a vista of Oracle Hill from Irene Well, and nearby you hit upon the Samaniego Ridge Seven Trail which is a good hiking trail.

We love camping even greater time is swimming. Spencer Canyon Campground including MT.Lemmon has no swimming at all. Rose Canyon Campground has a lake but only fishing is allowed. Dangle your feet and you might find a crawfish. Sycamore Reservoir is even lower in elevation is much hotter than all and a hike in the heat. Summer Haven has a creek that you can dangle your feet in and 1000 higher than all combined and beautiful. Blackberries grow wild and what a sight to behold. If I may add as well we have been visiting Mt.Lemmon for many years and Spencer is cooler than Rose in the summer at least by ten degrees.... |
