Horseshoe Reservoir gets very little rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. After a long day outdoors Carefree Resort and Villas is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and a quick tour to Davenport Wash is absolutely a fine idea.
