Custom Search     Hassayampa Lake     In August 2008, we discovered that Hassayampa Lake is surrounded by a fence with a locked gate. Further investigation revealed that the City of Prescott sold this lake to private parties. Says BGarst Groom Creek Loop Trail is a wonderful close by backcountry hiking trail; it has a variation in elevation of 1,353 feet and is 7.7 miles in distance. Hiking the Groom Creek Loop Trail, a hard backcountry hiking trail, requires something like one day. A beautiful     great outdoors trail close at hand, 2.9 miles in distance, having an altitude difference of 1,246 feet is Yankee Doodle Trail.
