After a long day outdoors Best Western Sunrise Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and Alpine Country Club is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Halfmoon Lake you could always explore Long Canyon, and Corner Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Halfmoon Lake, you can go for a hike along the Foote Creek       Seventy-six Trail; Woods Canyon Lake - Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is a brilliant campground nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn-Springerville; do put some time aside to spend at Milk Ranch Spring while you're here at Halfmoon Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Halfmoon Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and May is when it's the driest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant                  here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A great location for whitewater paddling close to Halfmoon Lake is Black River - East Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Benny Creek Group Area - Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is a great spot to camp.
