Greenland Lake is a nice lake to visit. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Greenland Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Greenland Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. | | of precipitation. A journey to Grand Canyon National Park is recommended, and at Greenland Lake you can see Brady Peak. Yeah, come here to Greenland Lake for a good time. There's so much to do here at Greenland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Suspension Bridge Campground is a pleasant spot for that, and hiking along the North Kaibab Trail is brilliant fun.  | 18 miles away (...) Hermit trail is in the Grand Canyon! And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise! More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat. Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail. Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat. You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free. If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)... |
