The Kendrick Peak Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can catch a sight of Beale Mountain from Government Hole. If you came for an overnight stay Circle Pines KOA is a wonderful place to camp, and there are other places here than Government Hole, for example Moritz Lake. is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Government Hole. This lake is so wonderful. You must definitely dedicate some time
to Government Prairie if you're here at Government Hole, and do take a hike on the Dorsey Spring Trail. Around Government Hole you don’t get a lot of rain; during August this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Government Hole is near Sanderson Pass which is definitely worth going to, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Little Lookout Trail.
