If you desire a little side trip, try Salto Canyon del. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Gambusi Lake has to offer, you can camp at Molino Basin Campground, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the La Milagrosa-Aqua Caliente Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Lemmon Ski Valley is near Gambusi Lake; you can go       for a hike on the Douglas Spring Trail. Throughout the months of summer at Gambusi Lake highs are regularly in the 100's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and night lows throughout the winter for Gambusi Lake tend to be in the 30's. Gambusi Lake is pretty dried out ordinarily; August is when you get the most rain here while May is typically the driest month.
