At Flattop Reservoir you don’t see much rain; during March this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Driftwood Lodge is a nice location to spend a night or two; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Honeymoon Trail. Lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Big Warren Reservoir near Flattop Reservoir; there are other spots       here than Flattop Reservoir, for example Cattle Guard Pond. For the period of the summer months at Flattop Reservoir highs are mostly in the 90's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's while Flattop Reservoir night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
