You'll come across a lovely lake called Twentynine Mile Lake near Fivemile Lake; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express       PAYSON is a brilliant choice. Do set aside some time for Strawberry Valley while you're here at Fivemile Lake, and Montezuma Castle National Monument is a pleasant site close by. Fivemile Lake gets very little rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and May is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Payson Inn; get wet paddling on East Verde River. So many enjoyable things near Fivemile Lake, absolutely                  incredible. Take a hike on the Towel Creek Trail Sixty Six - Sixty Seven Loop; float down the rapids of Verde River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Fivemile Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Creek RV Park is a good local campground, and hiking along the Towel Creek Trail is tremendous fun. High temperatures at Fivemile Lake during the days of summer are in the 100's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
