Sure, Reservation Lake is close at hand, and paddling on Black River - East Fork is so much fun. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more exciting things to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Take a hike on the Chitty Canyon Trail Thirty Four, and Drift Fence Lake is a splendid lake close by. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the vicinity of Duck Lake. You don’t have       to go far from Duck Lake to make out the water at Reservation Dam, and Hurricane Lake Campground is a great campground nearby. Very pretty scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Sunrise Park, and hiking along the KP Trail Seventy is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. Duck Lake is right by the Sheep Crossing_Baldy Ninetyfour Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunrise Inn. During the summertime months here at Duck Lake, high temperatures                  frequently reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Duck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Slade Spring is always fun to check out, and Deep Cienega is a wonderful spot. The amount of rainfall that falls at Duck Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is June. Just can't get enough of the Mogollon Rim Mountains.
