In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue River. There's so much to do here at Dry Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Blue Campground is a good location for that. At Dry Lakes you don’t see much rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is May. Looking       for something next to Dry Lakes? Campbell Flat Lake is close at hand, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sunrise Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. And that's not all the things you can do here in the San Francisco Mountains. San Francisco River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Hinkle Spring Canyon is also a fine place to discover. High temperatures at Dry Lakes through the days of summer are in the 70's with nighttime lows in                  the 40's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 40's; overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Dry Lakes tend to be in the 10's. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Dry Lakes. Don't leave Dry Lakes without first going for a hike along the Foote Creek Seventy-six Trail; Hinkle Spring is a perfect local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious sites to discover along the Little Blue Creek Forty-one Trail. Going for a hike on the Sycamore Trail is always a glorious adventure, obviously you could also go to W S Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. So much exciting stuff in the San Francisco Mountains, just phenomenal. There's a magnificent forest close to Dry Lakes called Apache National Forest.
