Hiking along the Little Blue Creek Forty-one Trail is good fun, and Dry Lakes is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Upper Blue Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Blue River offers some splendid whitewater, and close by you locate fine spots like Hinkle Spring Canyon. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's       even more cool stuff to do here in the San Francisco Mountains. Take some time to go to Apache National Forest if you're here; Blue Crossing Campground is a magnificent local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Francisco River, and Dry Lakes is right by the Sycamore Trail. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The San Francisco Mountains is unbeatable! Hinkle Spring is always fun to check out.                  Not much rainfall falls here at Dry Lakes; all through August this area sees the most rain, and May meanwhile is the driest month. This place, Dry Lakes, it just has so much outdoors exciting stuff. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sunrise Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Foote Creek Seventy-six Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Francisco Mountains. Through the warm days of summer at Dry Lakes temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
