Dry Creek Trough is always a pleasure to visit. Dry Creek Trough gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and June on the other hand is the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area close to Dry Creek Trough has to offer. Camping is available at Bear Flat Campground. Kohls Ranch Lodge is a great place to get some rest, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Hells Gate Trail.

On a brilliant day at Dry Creek Trough you can take a hike along the Horton Creek Trail, and not far from Dry Creek Trough you'll locate Lake One which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Crouch Mesa, and if you came for an overnight stay Canyon Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp. Dry Creek Trough fall into the 20's. That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Mogollon Rim Mountains has it all. If the weather is delightful here at Dry Creek Trough, you can go for a hike along the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel.

The sound of running water washing over the rocks, tall pines, sheer cliffs and at night you would not believe how many stars you could see. The area encompassed by the following trail boundaries (including the trails themselves) is closed to support firefighting operations and provide for public safety until further notice: On the west side, from the top of Rim Trail 290 (Col. Devin Trail) and Trail 390 (Railroad Tunnel Trail) down to the Washington Park Trailhead. Closures on the south side are from Trail 31 (Highline Trail) at the Washington Park Trailhead east to Trail 30 (Myrtle Trail). Closures on the east side are Trail 30 (Myrtle Trail) from the top of the Rim south to the intersection of Trail 31 (Highline Trail).
Residents and visitors can expect to see moderate to heavy amounts of smoke for the next four to five days. Smoke will limit visibility on Control Road 64 and FR 300, but both roads remain open.
