Dog Lake gets very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GRAND CANYON is a wonderful choice, and DeMotte Campground is a perfect campground nearby. A good place to pop by close to Dog Lake is Upper North Canyon, and if you get       bored of Dog Lake you could also take a look at nearby V T Lake. Any time is a magnificent time at Dog Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. Stay the night at Roaring Springs Campground, and hiking along the Transept Trail is splendid fun. The Tiyo Point Trail offers hiking at its best; Deer Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Throughout the long summer days at Dog Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer                  temperatures sink down into the 50's.
