     Deer Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Roaring Springs Campground is a glorious local campground, and while you're here at Deer Lake it's a delightful idea to stop at De Motte Park. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Deer Lake, you can go for a hike along the Tiyo Point Trail, and if you're here, you could also pop by charming Bear Lake. If time allows, Grand Canyon National Park is a national park worth checking out.  
   There is a nice hiking trail near Deer Lake called the Old Kaibab Trail, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GRAND CANYON is a fine choice.
Deer Lake is a location that is relatively dried up ordinarily; through August this area sees the most rain; June is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Deer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, DeMotte Campground is a wonderful location for that;
 
               you'll discover a striking lake called Indian Lake. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Deer Lake with night lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Deer Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
And that's not all you can do here at Deer Lake. The Transept Trail is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Deer Lake, and a delightful close by hotel is The Grand Hotel.

(...) Hermit trail is in the Grand Canyon! And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise!  More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat.  Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail.  Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat.  You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free.  If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)...
