If you need a place to stay Residence Inn Flagstaff is a fine choice, and Deep Lake is right by the Lava Flow Trail. You get a nice panorama of Anderson Mesa from Deep Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Flagstaff Resort. The warmest time of the year at Deep Lake arrives with high temperatures       in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while Deep Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Forked Pine Campground is a tremendous place to camp. Lakes are glorious; Als Lake is a lake that's near Deep Lake. What a place this is for outdoors people. Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is a fine                  local destination here at Deep Lake, and the Walnut Canyon Loop Trail offers hiking at its best. Not much precipitation falls here at Deep Lake; most of the rain falls through July, and June is when it's the driest.
