Don't leave Davenport Lake without first going for a hike along the Benham National Recreation Trail, and why not head up to Arizona Snowbowl and strap some skis to your feet. A lake nearby is Dry Lake; the Little Lookout Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Davenport Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month of the year is June.       For the duration of the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Davenport Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's; nighttime lows at Davenport Lake through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 20's.
