All through the summertime months here at Crater Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Crater Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Just can't get enough of Crater Lake. Crater Lake is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Arizona Snow Bowl Campground is a nice       site to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Flagstaff - Days Inn Highway 66 is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Arizona Snowbowl; a fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Flagstaff West. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant visit to Crowley Park is a good way to spend an afternoon, and popping by Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. It is very dried up here                  at Crater Lake commonly; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest of the months is June. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Crater Lake called the Kendrick Peak Trail, and the peak of Horseshoe Hill can be observed from Crater Lake.
