It is very dried out here at Crater Lake mostly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while June is frequently the driest month. What would winter be without some skiing at Arizona Snowbowl, and while you're here, you could also visit lovely Slate Lakes. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in close proximity to Crater Lake       has to offer. After a long day outdoors Flagstaff - Days Inn Highway 66 is a fine place to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Kendrick Peak Trail. One of the dominant characteristics of the surroundings of Crater Lake is Horseshoe Hill; a perfect nearby hotel is Super 8 Flagstaff West. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Crater Lake; the night is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly                  in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Crater Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Crater Lake has to offer, you can camp at Coconino County Government. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Crowley Park is a fine way to spend an afternoon, and Crater Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Arizona Snow Bowl Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby.
