Near Corner Lake you stumble on a golf course called Alpine Country Club; since you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Elk Wallow Lake. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Steeple Mesa Seventy-Three Trail, and Black River - East Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Corner       Lake; Escudilla National Recreation Trail is a great local trail; if you need a place to stay Best Western Sunrise Inn is a pleasant choice. Not much rainfall falls here at Corner Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain while May is frequently the driest month. High temperatures at Corner Lake during the warm months are in the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter                  nights come with lows in the 10's to Corner Lake. Camping is available at Woods Canyon Lake - Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. You truly must like the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A short trip to Milk Ranch Spring is always worthwhile; camping at Benny Creek Group Area - Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is always a delightful experience. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. This site rules, just check out all the amusing things to do in close proximity to Corner Lake. Do stop by Halfmoon Lake right next door to Corner Lake, it's a lovely lake, and a nice close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn-Springerville. Good hiking is available along the Foote Creek Seventy-six Trail; Campbell Flat is right here at Corner Lake.
