    If you are in this part of Arizona make sure to pay a visit to Coffee Lake. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do next to Coffee Lake. A good close by hotel is The Grand Hotel; DeMotte Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Wall Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the Tiyo Point Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Throughout the days of summer at Coffee Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's while nighttime  
   lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Coffee Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon, Az is a great choice, and nearby you locate the Transept Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Roaring Springs Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and a visit to Grand Canyon National Park is worthwhile. Coffee Lake
 
               gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; June on the other hand is the driest.
While you're here at Coffee Lake, you could also stop at picturesque Bear Lake, and going for a hike on the Bass Trail is always a pleasant adventure.

And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise!  More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat.  Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail.  Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat.  You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free.  If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)...
