Don't leave Chevelon Canyon Lake without first going for a hike along the Horton Creek Trail, and do stop by Little Rock Lake, it's a charming lake. Near Chevelon Canyon Lake you find Circle Bar Draw which is a wonderful place to check out, and you can go for a hike on the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail. Chevelon Canyon Lake is a location that is pretty dried       out typically; during July this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. If you need a location to stay Best Western Sawmill Inn is a pleasant choice. There's so much to do here at Chevelon Canyon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chevelon Canyon Campground is a fine place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chevelon Creek, and you can stay the                  night at Chevelon Lake Campground. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Chevelon Canyon Lake is so good! Going for a hike on the West Holcomb Trail is always a good adventure; while you're here, you could also take a look at scenic Pinto Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Mogollon Rim Mountains for a great time. Chevelon Canyon Dam has good water scenery and it's next to Chevelon Canyon Lake, and Weimer Point is a nice place to stop at while in the vicinity. During the summer months highs here at Chevelon Canyon Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows all through the wintertime for Chevelon Canyon Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Lodge is a great spot to get some rest.
