If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll go for Chatfield Pond. Lots of folks from Safford come to Chatfield Pond; don't leave Chatfield Pond without first going for a hike along the Ash Creek Trail Three Hundred Seven.       It is very dried up here at Chatfield Pond regularly; August is when you get the most rain here while June is usually the driest month. High temperatures at Chatfield Pond through the summer are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; night lows in the 30's for Chatfield Pond.
