Canyon Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Canyon Lake. Cottonwood Creek flows through this area, and Canyon Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Canyon Lake Marina And Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Go for a hike on the Black Mesa Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salt River. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Ittindi Rock is a great place to go to while in the vicinity, and going for a hike on the Second Water Trail is always a good adventure.
Around Canyon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There are great sites to explore along the Boulder Trail; there's whitewater on Verde River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Through the warm
days of summer at Canyon Lake temperatures are mostly in the 100's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's while the cold winter nights at Canyon Lake are in the 30's.

Apache Junction Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest, and Lost Dutchman State Park is a glorious local campground.
