Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Black Mesa Trail, and why not a little side tour to Cottonwood Creek. Any time is a nice time at Canyon Lake if you love the outdoors. A great spot to camp here at Canyon Lake is Lost Dutchman State Park, and there are other sites here than Canyon Lake, for example Apache Lake. Canyon Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and June is
the month with the least moisture. Hiking along the Boulder Trail is wonderful fun, and not far from Canyon Lake you'll hit upon Saguaro Lake which is a pretty lake.
During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 100's at Canyon Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 60's, and night lows in the 30's for Canyon Lake. A delightful nearby hotel is Best Western Apache Junction Inn, and Black Canyon

is in close proximity, and is a perfect location. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Gold Canyon Golf Resort is a great choice, and Canyon Lake is right by the Second Water Trail.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Canyon Lake. Don't leave Canyon Lake without first checking out Ittindi Rock, and why not camp at Canyon Lake Marina And Campground while you're here at Canyon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Salt River in a kayak, and great water scenery is available at Mormon Flat Dam near Canyon Lake.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Verde River; Mormon Flat is a beautiful location any time of year.
