Calloway Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Creek RV Park is a tremendous local campground; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express PAYSON is a good choice. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. There's whitewater on East Verde River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. At Calloway Lake you can see Calloway Butte, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Apache Maid Trail.
