And that's not all the things you can do here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. There's whitewater on East Verde River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. At Calloway Lake you can see Calloway Butte, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Apache Maid Trail.       This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Calloway Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bell Trail, and Twentyseven Mile Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Calloway Lake. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Towel Creek Trail Sixty Six - Sixty Seven Loop, and a great place to camp here at Calloway Lake is Rim Shadows RV Park. The Mogollon Rim Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For                  the period of the warm days of summer at Calloway Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's while Calloway Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
