Go for a hike on the Samaniego Ridge Seven Trail, and camping at Quail Ridge Estates is always a great experience. So much cool stuff in close proximity to Big Pond, simply extraordinary. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Lemmon Ski Valley. Not much rainfall falls here at Big Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and June is the month with the least moisture. Big Pond is great       enough to spend more than a day at, Wishing well Trailer Court is a great local campground, and Antelope Ravine is definitely a good location to take a look at. Summertime brings highs in the 100's to Big Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 60's while Big Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. Going for a hike on the Camp Grant Wash Trail is always a                  pleasant adventure; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Catalina is a delightful site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
