     Hiking along the Camp Grant Wash Trail is pleasant fun, and camping is available at Quail Ridge Estates. A trip to Antelope Ravine is always fun; Big Pond is not the only spot nearby, Small Hill Reservoir is a nearby lake. Big Pond gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and June on the other hand is the driest. Summer brings highs in the 100's to Big Pond with night lows in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's with  
   winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Big Pond.
You could also visit Power Line Reservoir while you're here at Big Pond; it's nearby. Going for a hike along the Samaniego Ridge Seven Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Miraval Resort is a perfect location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Big Pond is right by the Cargodera Canyon Six Trail, and a wonderful place to camp here at Big Pond is Wishing well Trailer Court.
 
               Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Mount Lemmon Ski Valley is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; if you need a site to stay Best Western Catalina Inn is a wonderful choice.
