Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. There is a good hiking trail next to Big Lake called the KP Trail Seventy, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Big Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can see S U Knolls from Big Lake. So much exciting stuff in the Mogollon Rim Mountains, just astonishing. Not far from Big Lake, you'll stumble on Crescent       Lake which is a wonderful lake, and going for a hike on the Chitty Canyon Trail Thirty Four is always a good adventure. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sunrise Park is next to Big Lake; Black River - East Fork is a splendid whitewater spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rainbow Campground is a splendid place for that, and good water scenery is available at Big Lake Dam near Big Lake. And that's                  not all you can do here at Big Lake. If you came to camp Gabaldon Campground is a wonderful spot to do that; if you need a site to stay Best Western Sunrise Inn is a nice choice. Big Lake is located in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Big Lake you can take a hike along the Sheep Crossing_Baldy Ninetyfour Trail; don't leave Big Lake without first paying a visit to 75 Spring. The annual rain here at Big Lake is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is June. Through the summer at Big Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's.
