There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gabaldon Campground is a wonderful place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn-Springerville. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Big Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sunrise Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the KP Trail Seventy.       For the duration of the months of summer here at Big Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Big Lake. Crescent Lake is a good lake close to Big Lake, and going for a hike on the Sheep Crossing_Baldy Ninetyfour Trail is always a nice adventure. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Big Lake; the month                  with most of the rain is August, and June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Rainbow Campground, and don't leave Big Lake without first going for a hike along the Chitty Canyon Trail Thirty Four. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. S U Knolls is beautiful and can be seen from Big Lake; a short journey to 75 Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Black River - East Fork for all you adrenaline people; delightful skiing awaits you at Sunrise Park. Big Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Lakes?
