Go to Big Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Chuska Mountains. Throughout the summer months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Big Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Big Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. A visit to Big Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Aspen Spring,

Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do in the Chuska Mountains. Wagon Wheel Campground is a good local campground, obviously you could also stop at White Water Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. The summits of the Lukachukai Mountains add much beauty to the neighborhood around Big Lake; Lukachukai Mountains is picturesque and can be made out from here.
