     On a nice day at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Tiyo Point Trail; Roaring Springs Campground is a great campground nearby. For the period of the days of summer at Bear Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear Lake are in the 10's. Do pay a visit to Grand Canyon National Park if you're here at Bear Lake. Lakes  
   are glorious; Indian Lake is a lake that's near Bear Lake. Just can't get enough of Bear Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Bear Lake called the Transept Trail, and if you need a place to stay The Grand Hotel is a splendid choice.
Don't leave Bear Lake without first paying a visit to Bear Spring. Going for a hike on the Old Kaibab Trail is always a good adventure, and DeMotte Campground is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               You're probably into lakes, Wall Lake is one of those close by; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GRAND CANYON.
Not much rain falls here at Bear Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is June.

And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise!  More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat.  Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail.  Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat.  You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free.  If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)...
