Hiking is a popular thing to do around Aspen Lake; Foot Canyon Trail is a great local trail, and Aspen Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Gentry Campground is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Kohls Ranch Lodge is a good choice, and there's great hiking along the West Holcomb Trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in       the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Black Canyon Lake is next to Aspen Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Mogollon Rim Mountains. So many entertaining things to do here at Aspen Lake, too nice to be true. The peak of Brookbank Point can be distinguished from Aspen Lake, and Chevelon Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Summer at Aspen Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All                  through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Aspen Lake are in the 10's. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sawmill Inn, and the Bear Flat Pleasant Valley Trail offers hiking at its best. Around Aspen Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.
