     Ashurst Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Visiting Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Flagstaff Resort is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Lakes are great; Coconino Lake is a lake that's near Ashurst Lake; there's always Ashurst Lake Dam to have a look at in the neighborhood of Ashurst Lake. So many cool things to do at Ashurst Lake, so little time. Take  
   a side journey to Ashurst Run, and dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn By Marriott Flagstaff.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Post Lake It's always tremendous to visit Ashurst Spring. The Walnut Canyon Loop Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping is available at Forked Pine Campground. A fine place to camp here at Ashurst Lake is Ashurst Lake Campground.

               the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Ashurst Lake. Ashurst Lake is regularly a rather dried up place; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is June.
