     If you get bored of Allen Lake, you could also explore close by Horse Lake, and don't leave Allen Lake without first going for a hike along the Benham National Recreation Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Allen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Lake Az Campground, and the peak of Laws Hill can be seen from Allen Lake. Smoot Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and you can go for a hike on the Kendrick Peak Trail. Not  
   much rainfall falls here at Allen Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; June on the other hand is the driest.
Williams has good slopes and a friendly staff, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Mountain Ranch & Resort is a perfect place to spend a night or two. During the warm days of summer at Allen Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly
 
               in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Allen Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Allen Lake. Allen Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, K O A Kampgrounds is a tremendous location to camp nearby, and there's magnificent hiking along the Bill Williams National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Arizona Snowbowl is a very popular ski area close at hand; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Williams East/Grand Canyon Area.
