Bill Williams River
 | 16 miles away I've been to this part of the Bill Williams River a dozen times. I've never seen any water in it, except for a few isolated oases (is that plural for oasis?), such as the sometimes beautiful (and sometimes ugly) riparian area at the west end of Planet Ranch. But, I believe the river has water sometimes, as I seem to recall that a flood in the early 90's washed away a chunk of Planet Ranch farmland. Anyway, check with whoever controls the outflow at Alamo dam or you'll be dragging your raft for miles through the sand.... |
