Summer brings highs in the 80's to Aker Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Aker Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Salt House Eighteen Trail; not far from Aker Lake you'll hit upon Lost Lake which is a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, P Bar Lake is in the vicinity, and       going for a hike along the Crabtree Trail Twenty-two will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. All year is a magnificent time in the San Francisco Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Aker Lake that you need to camp here for a while, KP Cienega Campground is a fine place for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Black River - East Fork. Aker Lake                  is one of the lakes here in the San Francisco Mountains. There's some flowing water close by, Corduroy Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay; Butterfly Cienega is a magnificent place to stretch your legs a bit. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff next to Aker Lake. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Blue River, and Aker Lake is near Hagen Draw which is absolutely worth checking out. So many amusing things to do here in the San Francisco Mountains, too nice to be true. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Aker Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hannagan Campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sunrise Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the KP Trail Seventy is perfect fun, and don't leave Aker Lake without first paying a visit to Lower Hagen Seep.
