If you are traveling by, why not stop by Aker Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at KP Cienega Campground, and Aker Lake is right by the Salt House Eighteen Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the San Francisco Mountains. Best Western Sunrise Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest, and Lower Hagen Seep is a gorgeous place to have a look at while you're at Aker Lake. That right there is a heap

| | of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the San Francisco Mountains has it all. While you're here at Aker Lake it's a glorious idea to go to Butterfly Cienega; paddling on Blue River is so much fun.
All through the warmest time of the year at Aker Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Aker Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. | |

Hannagan Campground is a great campground here, and Black River - East Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Aker Lake. Take a side trip to
Corduroy Creek, and do take a hike on the Crabtree Trail Twenty-two.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Hagen Draw is a perfect spot to go if you're at Aker Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the KP Trail Seventy. Around
Aker Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while May is typically the driest month.
