You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Boston Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Wolf Bayou. There's so much to do here at Waugh Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Speedway RV Park is a good location for that. High temperatures at Waugh Pond through the       summer months are in the 90's while night lows are typically in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Waugh Pond. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Waugh Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BATESVILLE. Lakes are good; Safley Pond is a lake that's right next door to Waugh Pond. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains. If you                  have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Boston Mountains. There's whitewater on Salado Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and at Waugh Pond you always meet someone from Batesville. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Vaughn Wilson Lake, and Pilgrim Hollow is around here, and is a great location. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Suites Batesville is a great place to get some rest, and if you came to camp Deer Run Park is a pleasant place to do that. Waugh Pond ordinarily gets a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January is when it's the driest.
