You can take a little journey to McConnell Lake Dam since you're here at Watkins Pond, and Watkins Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Brookwood Village is a great place to camp nearby. At Watkins Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 90's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. Pond descend into the 20's. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Rock Creek; this is a popular place for folks from Little Rock-North Little Rock.
This lake is so wonderful. Red Roof Inn North Little Rock is a great spot
to get some rest, and A and B Town and Country Mobile Home is a great campground nearby. The high level of precipitation makes Watkins Pond a quite wet site; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest.

Well I have fished faulkner lake for about a year and still have no clue on how to catch crappie. It's a clear lake with lots of grass fairly deep from what I have seen with alot of trees near the bank and off the bank so yo's must work well. I do have pictures but have not uploaded them yet................ |

You've got to be kidding me... The only time there's enough water in this creek to float would be after a huge storm, at that point we are talking flood stage. Then you are talking about going through the heart of Little Rock, with street overpasses some barely clearing the creek, lots of debris, etc.... |
