Through the warm months at Ward Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Ward Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. Be careful coming to Ward Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. After a long day outdoors Embassy Suites Hotel Little Rock is a tremendous       site to spend a night or two; you can run the rapids of Rock Creek. Ward Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ouachita Mountains. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LITTLE ROCK WEST I-430@EXIT 4 is a splendid spot to get some rest; Sands Mobile Home Park is a splendid campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Jack Ward Lake Dam is a lovely location near Ward Lake; Foreman Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Whohoo, so many exciting things                  in one place! The Ouachita Mountains is excellent! Stay the night at N Little Rock Koa Kampground, and don't forget to take a glorious little spree to Panther Branch. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Ouachita Mountains has to offer. People from Little Rock-North Little Rock love to come to Ward Lake, and a spree to Hot Springs National Park is recommended. Ward Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here; August is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
