Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ward Lake are in the 20's. Ward Lake is a wet location that gets lots of precipitation;       May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. If you need a place to stay Western Plaza Inn is a brilliant choice; get soaked paddling on Cossatot River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ward Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shadow Mountain RV Park And Campground, and naturally, this is a wonderful neighborhood for people who like lakes, Hillcrest Lake is a lake in the vicinity. This lake is one of the great places                  here in the Ouachita Mountains. So many entertaining things close to Ward Lake, clearly mind-blowing. Mena Golf Club is a great golf course nearby, also Ward Lake Dam is worth stopping at if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Brushy Creek is so much fun, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Cox Lake is one of those close by. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Ouachita Mountains is excellent!
