A visit to Ward Lake is always a good idea. You get a glorious sight of Middle Mountain from Ward Lake, and Shadow Mountain RV Park And Campground is a delightful local campground. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Ward Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Ward Lake Dam has nice water scenery and it's near Ward Lake, and you'll discover a charming

| | lake called Cox Lake. All through the summertime here at Ward Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 50's with temperatures at Ward Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Ward Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.

There's just no way someone can get bored here at Ward Lake. Near Ward Lake you find a golf course called Mena Golf Club; there are some great whitewater spots on Brushy Creek. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things
to do in the Ouachita Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Mena Koa Kampground is a great place to camp; a magnificent nearby hotel is Western Plaza Inn. Do check out Hillcrest Lake in close proximity to Ward Lake, it's a pretty lake, and there's whitewater on Cossatot River for all you adrenaline junkies.
