Since you're here at Waltman Pond why not visit Angel Springs Hollow, and Waltman Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Wagon Wheel Resort is a great site to camp nearby. Chapman Spring is a nice local attraction; a journey to Buffalo National River is recommended. At Waltman Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 90's, and all through       the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Waltman Pond fall into the 20's. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks. And if that's not enough there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Ozarks. Pine Flat is a tremendous spot here at Waltman Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Waltman Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sherwood Forest                  Campgrounds. All the outdoors amusing stuff near Waltman Pond will keep you coming back many times. A tremendous site for whitewater paddling near Waltman Pond is Crooked Creek, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Buffalo River. Waltman Pond is a rather wet place ordinarily with a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May; January on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Ozarks.
